GIVE

Fundraising for our Churches

Most people are unaware that the majority of funding churches receive is from donations.

Currently we have no on-line donation facility but if you would like to give to any of our churches please contact us via our contacts page.

We are custodians of iconic buildings at the heart of each village.  The churches, in addition to regular services of every kind, remain in demand for baptisms, weddings and funerals.  They also provide a welcome for our church primary schools and those attending the many concerts, summer teas and other events we put on.  More fundamentally, perhaps, they offer a quiet place to simply ‘be’, in a place where, in TS Eliot’s words, ‘prayer has been valid’.  We would like to see them used even more, for occasions we have only begun to imagine, but which would offer the chance for all parts of the community to gather and celebrate life in all its variety.

If you would like to give to any of our churches, please do contact us or visit the individual church fundraising pages below for details of how to give.

ACCESS

ACCESS (Association for Community Care, Education, and Social Services) was founded to help children who are being exploited in the stone quarries of Bangalore as child labourers.  At such a tender age, when they were supposed to be playing and learning, they were being oppressed; ACCESS took an initiative to rescue these innocent souls, providing them with education and health facilities.

Uffington Benefice raised over £500  at our Shrove Tuesday Pancake event in 2020.

Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution

We raised over £125 in 2019 from the collection at our Harvest Festival service in Uffington.
